How does FTP work?

To make FTP work, first of all, an FTP client must be installed in the system.

Then there should be a username and password to establish a connection to the server.

It uses two types of connections to transfer files.

Control Connection:- Control Connection is used to open, close the connection and send commands to the server.

Data Connection:- Connection is established in this, then the file is transferred between client-server through data connection.

It can work on two different modes. One of which is Active Mode and the other is Passive Mode.
